Halfway House at a glance

Halfway House was originally named because of its position halfway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, where it served as a halfway watering post for horses travelling between the two cities. This area has now become one of the busiest business and industrial sectors in the country. 

This residential and commercial area makes it easy to live and work with. The population is made up of young professionals and young families. It adjacent to Halfway Gardens, a residential area with amenities such as Midway Mews Shopping Centre, the Midrand Fire Station and Midrand Police station.

Midrand Gautrain station is in Halfway House and it makes travelling easier. And situated adjacent is the Grand central airport, one of Gauteng's secondary airports.
